2022 Château Belair-Coubet Côtes de Bourg Bordeaux Rouge

The 2022 Château Belair-Coubet Côtes de Bourg Bordeaux Rouge is a charming and elegant wine. Crafted by the renowned winemaker Delphine Faure, this 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon blend offers a deep garnet hue with blackberry, licorice, and vanilla aromas. Grapes were selected from a small estate in Côtes de Bourg, an appellation that is one of France’s oldest wine-producing regions. The first vineyards were founded by the Romans, and this region existed as a major port for wine in the Middle Ages. Sometimes referred to as “Bordeaux’s Little Switzerland,” Côtes de Bourg has gently sloping hills, rich soils, and a cooler, maritime-influenced climate that make it ideal for growing grapes, especially reds. aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, it achieves a smooth palate with a harmonious balance of spice and silky tannins. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with Beef Bourguignon or pan-fried lamb, this Bordeaux Rouge showcases the unique artistry of the Côtes de Bourg region.
