2018 La Gota Reserva Syrah
Our 2018 La Gota Reserva Syrah comes from the sub-region of Loncomilla Valley, located in the heart of Maule Valley in central Chile. The hot days and cold nights from the winds of the Andes create an ideal thermal balance for grape cultivation. The fermentation is controlled, and winemakers check several times even throughout the night, making sure the wine radiates perfection.
Aged in 50% American oak and 50% French oak for a minimum of 8 months, this wine's ruby red color shines through the bottle of this fresh, floral Syrah with complex spices and ripe red fruits. Herbal and violet notes blend for a smooth body with ripe tannins and a persistent finish.
This Syrah is made to be served with roasted lamb, ribs, deer, or rabbit stew. A dense, saucey pasta will also pair nicely.
